The Toyota brand recently celebrated 16 years of partnership with the Environmental Media Awards. The partnership was honored at the EMAs at Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, CA. A few of this year’s honorees include Jaden Smith, Shailene Woodley, Moby, Robyn O’Brien, and United Nations PRI as the corporate responsibility award winner. Before attendees entered the event they were greeted on the green carpet by the all-new 2017 Toyota Prius Prime. This vehicle is powered by a 1.8-liter engine combined with an 8.8-kWh battery. One of the most impressive stats coming from this vehicle is the potential 133 MPGe, that is much higher than any other electric vehicle on the market today. Thanks to that MPGe, this vehicle’s range is between 22-25 miles, which is unheard of! The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime is also newly re-designed with architecture that improves torsional rigidity and double wishbone rear suspension. It also comes with state of the art technology features. You can expect to see this vehicle at dealerships in all 50 states next month.
“The entertainment industry elevated [the Toyota] Prius to a cultural icon and made hybrids cool,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president, automotive operations, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota is proud to support and celebrate Hollywood’s positive influence and impact on the planet.”
While we’re still waiting for the Prius Prime to arrive at our Calabasas dealership, you can still check out the 2017 Toyota Prius at Bob Smith Toyota near the Los Angeles, CA area.
