If you thought the 2018 Toyota Corolla and 2018 Toyota Corolla iM were stunning, we have a feeling you’re going to love the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback even more. With new features and a new look, this model truly hits the mark.
The Toyota Corolla Hatchback will be similar to last year’s Toyota Corolla iM, but with quite a few adjustments. While last year’s Toyota Corolla iM began as the Scion iM, it only makes sense that the new model for this year gets a new name and a new look to really fit in with the current Toyota lineup.
The new five-door model will reportedly lose all previous ties to Scion and will have a purely Toyota car feel, with a possible identical sedan model coming in the future. It includes a roomier interior and wider roofline on a 103.9-inch wheelbase. It will be offered in two trims with a big-mouth grille, a refined profile, and a more slanted tailgate. It also sits on the brand’s new TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform.
As far as the interior, you’ll find an eight-inch display screen, USB charging ports, Amazon Alexa integration, Apple CarPlay™, Wi-Fi, Siri® Eyes Free voice recognition, and more. The new Toyota Corolla will also feature safety aspects like brake assist, smart stop technology, and an optional blind spot monitor. This model will also be made with aluminum and ultra-high strength steel, making it 60 percent stiffer and quieter.
