The Toyota brand recently released their sales figures for the month of September. They sold a total of 171,459 units which is a 1.4 percent increase over September 2015. There were quite a few exciting happenings that contributed to this outstanding month of sales. The first is the Toyota Land Cruiser increased its sales by an impressive 171 percent in the month of September. Standard features on the 2017 model include automatic power-folding and auto-dimming outside mirrors, automatic wipers, a sunroof, a tow hitch receiver with wiring harness, adaptive cruise control, and keyless entry and ignition – just to name a few. The next momentous event is the Toyota Camry posting total sales in September of 30,707 units. The Toyota RAV4 had its best year to date sales record by increasing sales 8.6 percent. The Toyota Highlander posted its best-ever September sales as well as a year-to-date sales record, increasing sales 21.3 percent. See we told you – a lot to celebrate!
“Industry sales in 2016 remain in line with last year’s record levels,” said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of the Toyota division. “Toyota outpaced the industry to be the no.1 retail brand in September, led by Toyota Camry, Toyota RAV4, and Toyota Corolla, and the fourth quarter outlook is strong thanks to our best light truck supply of the year.”
