The 17th annual Best Global Brands list was recently released by Interbrand. The Toyota brand is excited to announce not only did they earn the most valuable automotive brand in the world, they also became the only automotive brand to rank in the top five brands. Keep reading for more information.
In 2015, Toyota launched the Toyota Research Institute and Toyota Connected Inc. The goal of the research institute is to provide mobility to more people, improve safety and enhance autonomous mobility through research and development of artificial intelligence, robotics and materials science. Toyota Connected is focused on data driven services to support the brand and provide solutions that will lead the industry through data management, data analysis and service development.
Interbrand looks at three aspects when ranking companies:
- The financial performance of the branded products or services
- The role of the brand in the purchase decision process
- The strength the brand has to command a premium price, or secure earnings for the company
