Toyota Releases March Sales Figures

Toyota recently released their sales figures for the month of March. They sold a total of 219,842 units during the last month. Keep reading for more information on which vehicles sold the best in March.

The Toyota Camry sold the most units of any Toyota vehicle this month. This vehicle’s total sales were 36,991! This vehicle is available in five trim levels; E, SE, Special Edition, XSE and XLE.

The Toyota Corolla was another top selling vehicle in March, totaling 32,556 units. Powering this vehicle is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. It produces 132 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque.

The Toyota RAV4 increased its sales by 15.1 percent, making it the best March and first quarter ever! Standard safety features on this vehicle include anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, full-length airbags, a driver knee airbag, a rearview camera, and an integrated driver blind-spot mirror.

The Toyota Highlander also had its best March and first quarter ever, increasing sales by 14.5 percent. Standard features on this vehicle include automatic headlights, heated exterior mirrors, a rear spoiler, cruise control, a rearview camera, cloth seating, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a 6.1-inch central touchscreen and a six-speaker audio system.

“Trucks hauled the industry to see the best March in over a decade,” said Bill Fay, Toyota division group vice president and general manager. “For the Toyota division, light trucks, mostly supported by record sales of RAV4 and Highlander, posted best-ever March and first quarter sales.”
